This course is intended to help you prepare for the CP2 Transport Canada exam. For Officers of the Watch, it is extremely important to understand chartwork and pilotage and to develop these skills to ensure the safe navigation of your vessel. The CP2 exam is a three-hour exam which consists of 15 multiple choice questions worth 2 marks each, and 6 practical chartwork questions worth 5-15 marks each.
This course covers a broad range of theory and knowledge; however, the majority of your time will be spent in doing practical chartwork questions which will help to develop your skills. We recommend that you spend a minimum of five weeks preparing for this exam.
